Agang holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from The University of Botswana and currently in final year for Masters in Science in the same field. In her early career Agang worked as a Research Assistant in Universitat de Bundeswehr; Munich, Germany. Currently her work experience includes technical duties with the Department of Information Technology at the University of Botswana. Agang is passionate about education and is co-founder of The Clicking Generation-ICT Academy for Kids and Teens; a program that offers computing and technology curriculum to kids and teens. She is currently National Expert for UN-World Summit Award Organization, Ambassador-ITU Young Innovator Competition and Ambassador-Africa Code Week. In these roles she partakes in encouraging Botswana youngsters in the Information Technology field on issues of innovation and e-content creation. A previous Champion for the local Google Developer Group she is now an Advisor to the same. Agang was recently elected as Board Member of Botswana Academy of Sciences. As an ICT Youth Advocate she has worked with UN Agencies to disseminate information on the Post 2015 Development Agenda especially to the youth population. She works closely with relevant stakeholders to implement Girls in ICT programs throughout Botswana.

Agang is a Brightest Young Minds Alumni 2015, a selection of top 100 young Africans contributing to their communities, sponsored by Barclays Africa. Recently in 2016, Agang forms part of the prestigious Tony Elumelu Foundation Mentorship program, being mentored by a successful and seasoned thought leader, Tony Elumelu. She has also been selected as a Mandela Washington Fellow 2016, an initiative by U.S. State Department.

Valentine is a serial entrepreneur passionate about technology and business dynamics. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences, after which she focused on 3D Animation and Motion graphics studies. Under the sponsorship of the World Bank in 2015, she was awarded seed funding to start a 3D animation business to tell the African tales.

Knowing how much computer science changed her life, she is eager to give back and inspire other girls. She founded Mindset Coders, an EdTech company on a mission to empower young people with 21st digital skills. She is also a mentor of 1000 Girls 1000 Futures program by the New York Academy of Sciences, inspiring and encouraging girls to pursue their passion for STEM as a career.

She also acts as Regional lead and mentor for the
Technovation Challenge where she inspires young girls to use technology to solve community problems.

This tech enthusiast believes that education is the key to alleviating poverty, and that technology has the ability to radically improve it. As such, using the social enterprise model, Biniam has been working to support schools in Ethiopia with ICT integration in Education, and aspires to see every student in Ethiopia uplifted thanks to technology.

Project manager and head of innovation at Bantou Telecom - a digital services provider based in Douala, Carole is also the Managing Director of 24Labs, a coworking space that she plans to turn into a true technology hub for Central Africa. She holds an Engineering degree in Networking and Project Management as well as a Masters degree in IT Security. Her passion for African startups and digital entrepreneurship also feed her inspiration as Chief Editor of Tech9, a webzine dedicated to ICT news in Africa.

Zealous about Rwanda’s next generation competing within the STEM space, Ildephonse’s passion and entrepreneurial drive led him to found the Creativity Lab, a space to foster children's creativity and STEM skills. His dream is to make it the go-to space for Africa’s young STEM talents.

Knowing how much coding changed his life, he wants to give back and inspire children in Rwanda, hence his engagement in the Hour of Code where he helps children become innovators and turn their ideas into reality. As an Imagination Chapter Leader in Rwanda, he also helps learning spaces see the light and foster creativity, entrepreneurship and digital skills through Creative Play.


Lebohang William Kompi

Lebohang is the Secretary of the Science and Mathematics Educators' Federation (SMEF) at the Lesotho National Commission for UNESCO.

With more than 10 years experience in ICT solutions for Education and the advancement of Astrophysics is Sesotho context (AstroSesotho), he has developed models for Girls in Science as well as STEM education in secondary school. This led him to publish the newLGCSE Physics Beyond2010 textbooks.

He has worked at the Lesotho National Commission for UNESCO (UNESCOM) as an independent volunteer in Science and Education since 2008. There he pioneered several models and headed various Participation Programmes (PP) for Maths and Science Educational Development. He later developed a firm that specializes in Science Education Consultancy Industry through the commercialization of the ThakaKhoali Living Laboratory Approach.
